Arthur A. Kort, MD, FACC
While studying physics and engineering as an undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Arthur Kort became interested in applying technology toward medical care. After graduating from M.I.T., Dr. Kort received his medical degree from New York University, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. He completed a cardiology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He served as a faculty member at Duke participating in both medical research and teaching in the cardiology department before deciding to pursue private practice.
Today, Dr. Kort continues to use his technical background through a sub-specialization in both echocardiography and nuclear imaging. His commitment to contributing to the advancement of cardiology is something that he shares with many other physicians at the Heart Institute. Dr. Kort has had 13 papers published in various medical journals.
