C. Samuel Ledford, MD, FACC
Dr. Samuel Ledford came to The Chattanooga Heart Institute from the Naval Medical Center at San Diego, California where he was Assistant Division Head of Cardiovascular Diseases and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

Dr. Ledford received his bachelor’s degree from Baptist College at Charleston and his doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda. Dr. Ledford completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda and a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Dr. Ledford has received numerous awards including the Naval Commendation Medal. He has been published in numerous professional journals and has been the principle investigator on several research projects.
