Ondrej J. Lisy, M.D, Ph.D.
Dr. Ondrej Lisy joined The Chattanooga Heart Institute in September, 2009 after completing an internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN. He also completed a cardiology fellowship with special focus on cardiovascular imaging at the Mayo Clinic. He received his medical degree and Ph.D. degree in cardiovascular physiology from the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, prior to accepting a position at the Mayo Clinic.
He received numerous awards while at the Mayo Clinic including the Young Investigator Award of the Heart Failure Society of America, Award of the American College of Physician and Donald C. Balfour Award of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association for Meritorious Research. Dr. Lisy has been published in numerous medical journals including Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Hypertension, American Journal of Physiology and Kidney International. He held the position of the Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Medical School.
Dr. Lisy served internal medicine residency, clinician investigator training, and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and cardiac imaging at the Mayo Clinic. He brings with him an expertise in noninvasive cardiology and imaging modalities - echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT. Dr. Lisy is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
