Mitchell L. Mutter, MD, FACC
Dr. Mitchell Mutter received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He served his internship, internal medicine residency, and cardiology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine and specializes in interventional cardiology and pacemaker technology.
Dr. Mutter served as director of the Coronary Care Unit at Walter Reed and as chief of cardiology at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. Before moving to Chattanooga, he practiced cardiology in Knoxville, Tennessee.
He was president of the Tennessee Heart Association in 1990 and has been a member of the American Heart Association's National Faculty for Advanced Cardiac Life Support since 1988. Currently, he is chairman of the Tennessee Heart Association's Emergency Cardiac Care Committee and is on the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners.
