Kinsman E. Wright Jr., MD, FACC
Dr. Kinsman Wright, along with Dr. Noel Hunt, founded The Chattanooga Heart Institute in 1977. Dr. Wright’s primary interest is pursuing new approaches in cardiac care and ensuring the most efficient, effective patient care. The first cardiologist to perform PTCA in Chattanooga, Dr. Wright continues to be a leader in cardiovascular advancements in this region.

Dr. Wright received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He served residencies at Boston City Hospital and Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. He completed fellowships in cardiology at Boston University Medical Center and Duke University Medical Center. He is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine.

Before coming to Chattanooga, Dr. Wright served as assistant professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. He is a former chief of staff and vice chief of staff at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga and currently serves as the hospital’s medical director of cardiovascular services. He is also a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine, Chattanooga campus.
