Dr. Robert Berglund is a renowned Chattanooga coronary care specialist. He was the first cardiologist in the Chattanooga area to perform excimer coronary laser angioplasty and he has helped lead Chattanooga’s cardiovascular advancements through his involvement with area hospitals, educational facilities and professional organizations. Dr. Berglund received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Texas, where he also served his residency and cardiology fellowship. He is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology.

He formerly served as president of the Chattanooga and Hamilton County Medical Society, chief of staff at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, vice chief of medicine at Erlanger Regional Medical Center, and president of the Chattanooga chapter of the American Heart Association. Dr. Berglund is a member of the Chattanooga and Hamilton County Medical Society, American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Heart Association’s Council on Clinical Cardiology.
